Happy Birthday to ME!

On June 25, 2013 the most amazing thing happened...at 10:46 in the morning I was born!
My parents tell me that this minute was the most amazing minute ever- that they had been waiting for me for longer than I could imagine. I believe them.

Sometimes my mom tells me the story of how it all happened. She met my Dad in college and they were really good friends, and then they fell in love. My mom said she always dreamed of having a baby...but that she never dreamed of such an amazing person to share the journey with. She always says how lucky she is. I agree, because she has my Daddy and me.

On June 25th my Mom and Dad headed to the hospital around midnight... they were almost sent home...luckily they weren't because I wanted out. Well, ok, it took longer than my mom expected....

But she says I was worth the wait.

Fast forward a year. Yes, it really has been a year, even though everyone keeps telling me it doesn't seem like it!
My Mommy & Daddy woke me up by throwing balloons in my crib. They are so silly!

It was only 7:30  but I had a feeling I was going to love my birthday!

Daddy had to go to work and that made me a little sad but then Mommy got me all dressed and we went on a trip to Plumpton Park Zoo.

We saw duckies, they were my favorite...

And goats. I liked them too.

I did NOT like the llama...because it sneezed and scared me!

But there were all these little kids
and I did like them, and they seemed to like the llamas...which I thought was kind of weird.

Zebras are Wawa's favorite, and I liked them too...except Mom can't tell me what sound they make and I don't know either---do you?

Last stop to see Jimmy the friendly giraffe, he came right over and I held mom really tight because I thought maybe he could scoop me up with that long neck of his.

After a nice family dinner it was time for a birthday bath, then snuggle time with Daddy and bed time at last!

Oh and guess what, even though my birthDAY is over...I get to have a party on Saturday and that means I get to celebrate all over again!

Until next time

Dear Summer, I love you. Love, Harper

It is true that summer has not yet begun...
But boy oh boy I'll tell you this, I think it's going to be great fun!
I've had play dates with friends old & new...
And as an extra special surprise I got to spend time with Aunt Krugie too!

I planned a trip to Ocean City with Amy and my Mom...

Then, much to my delight my Wawa & Aunt Sharon came along!

I played with shells...

Climbed on chairs...

And smiled a lot each day!

I had a blast with all my people...

They sure know how to play!

I must admit, I was a bit sad to leave that place, it was such fun you see...

But mom told me we were going home because my Daddy was missing me...

Father's Day was also coming up and I love my Dad a ton...

We wanted to make his 1st father's day so special and very very fun!

We went to Hon Fest  with Pop Pop...

then headed to Grandpa's for some splash splash in the pool!

Besides seeing Grandpa, want to know my favorite part? It was Carter's swimming school!!!

Father's Day was extra special, like my Dada is to me.  We had more fun times that week, like the outside music we went to see!

WHOA guess what else...I got my first present for my birthday that is NEXT WEEK!

A table and chairs that are me sized, from my Wawa, oh how neat!

So excited for next week, I can't believe I'm turning ONE!

I have a feeling it's going to be amazing, amazing and SO MUCH FUN!

Until next time...cheers to SUMMER! It starts tomorrow!!! Whoohoo
