How we got here...

Our First Date

Matt and I must really attribute our relationship to dorm selection.  We met at York College in 2003 when we were assigned to the same dorm, just one floor apart.  Year two, as if by fate, our apartments were right next door to one another. It wasn’t until Matt’s Junior (my Senior) year that we knew our friendship had blossomed into something more...

Fast forward 6 years-

I said yes and we had a whirlwind of a year planning our dream wedding.

We were married on in May 2012 and after an amazing
honeymoon to Hawaii returned to life as the Happicks.

On October 26^th I was meeting Amy for Happy Hour and decided to take a pregnancy test; to my delight it was positive. As luck would have it, Matt was at the garage, so I was faced with quite a dilemma. Skip Happy Hour and sit home waiting for him to return home, or go to happy hour and attempt to keep my exciting secret from Amy (I chose the latter--and it was the longest happy hour ever)!  The moment Matt returned home I gave him a card I had made that ended with: "you're going to be a daddy!" From that moment our life was forever changed...

Pregnancy has been a beautiful experience. We have enjoyed every second…telling our family the news, hearing the sonographer say "It's a girl!"...feeling *and seeing* our little jumping bean dance all around (she moved for most of 7 months straight)! I have to admit, I have loved every flutter & every kick, even the ones that kept me up at night!

Matt & I have had quite an adventure these past 10 years...we have been through a  lot together- a lot of happy, and some overwhelmingly sad. Each experience, making our relationship, and our friendship, that much stronger.  It's hard to believe that this is only just the beginning!
